Paul M. Keister, 46, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic from a brief illness. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 21st at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel. A private family inurnment will be at a later date. Paul was born January 17, 1966 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Kaye and Laura (Hamer) Keister. He graduated from Washington High School in 1984. He owned and operated Keister Construction from 1990 until present. Paul was an avid Hawkeye and Bears fan, we know they will not lose in heaven. Paul's family and friends always came first. He could never refuse a favor asked. He was a good son and father, he loved his family, brother, sisters, and parents unconditionally. His passing will leave a void in many hearts. Paul is survived by his children Zach (Ashtin) Keister, Matt (Bailey) Keister, and Savannah Keister; a granddaughter Ella Keister; his mother Laura Keister; a brother William Keister; and his sister Kristen (Paul) Trovas; as well as his nieces and nephews. Paul was preceded in death by his father and a sister Jackie Keister. A memorial fund has been established in his name.
