Patricia Ann (Kemper) Kamberling Cope, 80, went to meet the Lord on Saturday December 1, 2012 after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Services will be held at First Federated Church, 115 N. Walnut St. in Lisbon on Thursday, December 6th, at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at the Lisbon Cemetery. The family will welcome friends from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, December 5th at the church. Brosh Chapel is handling arrangements. Surviving Patricia are her three daughters, Chris Stamy of Eden Prairie, Minnesota, Kim Madison of Austin, Texas, and Connie (Allan) Meier of Lisbon; three sons, Danny Kamberling, Doug (Stephanie) Kamberling of Lisbon and Jamie (Kimbra) Kamberling of Mechanicsville; sister, Barb Campbell of Cedar Rapids; two brothers, Bill (Beverly) Demory of Cedar Rapids and Jerry Demory of Denver, Colorado; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Preceding Patricia in death were her mother, Bernice A. (Hansen) Lopata, her father, Alvin Kemper and her ex-husband Leonard Kamberling. Patricia was born August 3, 1932, to Bernice A. (Hansen) and Alvin Kemper in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She lived most of her childhood and young adult life in the Cedar Rapids area. She later married Leonard Kamberling and the family moved to the Lisbon area to raise the children. She worked many years at Mt. Vernon Steel and Wire and then at Cornell College where she retired. Patricia was a member of the First Federated Church of Lisbon, TOPS, and participated in a line dancing club which spent most of its time entertaining in nursing homes. She was an excellent quilter and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren and finding that bargain at a garage sale or craft show. A memorial fund has been established.
