Patricia A. "Pat" Wade, 77 of Cedar Rapids died Saturday, May 3, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center from a brief illness.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 7, 2008 at St. James United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Silver Creek Cemetery, near Ryan.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids and for an hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.

Pat was born November 1, 1930 in Moline, Illinois, the daughter of William H. and Jennie E. Frederick Hess.  She married Marlyn "Marley" Wade on October 28, 1951 in Edgewood.  She was a cashier for over twenty seven years for the Cedar Rapids Community School District, retiring in 1992.

Pat is survived by; a daughter LouAnn (Gary) Christensen of Cedar Rapids; sons Donald "Cody" (Tina) Wade; Dale Wade both of Cedar Rapids; David (Jean) Wade of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren: Aaron, Nick, Sean, Robyn, Jessi, Rachel, Annie, Levi and Luke; and greatgrandchildren: Mason, Austin, Logan, Zoey, Eden, Shaelynn, Kassadee, and Rilee.   She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Marley, who died December 12, 2007, and an infant son Daniel.

In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be directed to the American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and or Camp Courageous.
