Parish "P" Marcel Harris, 30, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on September 6, 2022.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, September 16, 2022 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Parish was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa, on January 28, 1992, in Cedar Rapids, son of Marquis & Ursula Harris and Betty Rogers.  He is survived by his parents, 4 siblings; Michael Morgan, Deidra Harris, Aaron Ray, & Kiara Harris, 3 children; Marcel Greene, Kasimir Harris, & Malcom Harris. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents; Herschel Harris, Ivan & Rosella Pettit, his maternal grandparents; Lawyer S. Rogers & Lula Rogers, uncles; Lawyer L. Rogers, Ray Rogers, & Willie D. Rogers, aunt; Linda K. Rogers, and cousin; Tywon Rogers.

He attended school at George Washington High School in 2007. Parish was a outgoing person who always wanted to be in company of those he loved. He was a caring and loving Father, Son, Brother, and Friend who put smiles on everyone's faces. He was the kind of person to always check in on his people, would drop anything for them, and give them the shirt off his back. He was loved by many and will truly be missed.
