Norine "Kelly" Zamastil, 58 of Fairfax, died Sunday, February 3, 2008 at her home in Fairfax.  A celebration of life service will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Brosh Chapel in Solon with Rev. Scott Meador presiding.

Norine was born October 23, 1949 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Kenneth and Gertrude (McLaughlin) Kelly.  She graduated from Norway High School in 1967, and she went on to graduate from Mount Mercy College in Cedar Rapids in 1971 receiving a B.A. in History with a minor in Business.  On May 6, 1972 Norine married John Zamastil at Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Walford.  Additionally, she also earned a Master's degree in Public Administration from Iowa State University.  Norine was the Associate Director of Governmental Relations at the University of Iowa after serving as               On-Campus Coordinator since 1999.

Norine is survived by her husband John, her son William, two nieces and two nephews.

We are truly grateful for all of the wonderful care she received from the Doctors, Nurses, and staff at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.  She had the best.
