Milo Charles Zahradnik, 98 of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on May 28, 2016.  Celebration of life services will be 1:00 p.m. Sunday, June 12, 2016 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, where full military rites will be conducted following services. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Sunday.  Burial will be in Rogers Grove Cemetery near Ely. Milo was born on June 8, 1917 in Ely, the son of Joseph and Frances (Nemecek) Zahradnik.  Milo served in the United States Army Air Corps during World War II.  He was united in marriage to Mildred Kulhavy on September 2, 1950 at the First Presbyterian Church near Ely.   Milo farmed, worked for the Linn County Roads and also at Hupp Electric Motors until his retirement.

Milo is survived by his daughters, Carol Romano of Cedar Rapids and Jane Dyches (Steve) of Huntington Beach, California; five grandchildren, Andrew (Holly) Hines, Jordan, Pamela, Michael, and Kristen; six great-grandchildren Kayne, Joshua, Aidan, Mason, Evelynn and Maverick; a sister-in-law Viola Zahradnik of Ely; as well as many nieces and nephews.

Milo was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Mildred, who died July 11, 2004, his siblings, Frank (Jessie), Bill (Clara), Lumir Zahradnik, Agnes (Delbert) Smith and Martha (George) Chaloupka.
