Michael R. Snyder, 71, of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 27, 2024.

Michael was born on January 24, 1953, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Raymond and Antoinette Snyder. He loved collecting and repairing any clock, from pocket watches to grandfather clocks. He was an avid collector of antiques and anything rusty. Michael enjoyed fishing with his friends and family. He listened to classical music, such as Beethoven. Was able to fix anything he could get his hands on. Most of all he loved spending time with his friends and family.

Michael is survived by his mother Antoinette (Scolaro) Snyder, daughter Michael Tucker, his son Dru Snyder, his sister Debra Janko (Mike), as well as four grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Michael is preceded in death by his father Raymond "Skip" Snyder, his twin sons; Mark and Anthony, his sister, Denise Grissom, his uncle Marion "Bud" Scolaro, his close cousin, Kaylene Snyder, and his grandmother, Anna Scolaro. He was also preceded in death by his beloved cats Mooch and Tramp.

Michael also donated his corneas to help people in need.
