Michael Steven Krecioch, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 12, 2024, in his daughter's home after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Visitation with viewing will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, August 18, 2024, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. A Celebration of Life gathering will follow at the Prairie Oak Lodge in Wanatee Park in Marion from 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Michael was born on March 15, 1952, in South Bend, Indiana, the son of Leo John and Geraldine Ellen (Kohl) Krecioch. Michael enjoyed fishing, boating and working on his cars and motorcycles. Mike loved tinkering and building in his garage but most importantly loved his family and his dogs Scooter, Miss Kitty and Missy.

Mike is survived by his daughter Mandi Krecioch (Chris Goodrow), grandson Brandis Krecioch, sisters Fran McBath and Janette Oehlke and many nieces and nephews.

Mike was preceded in death by his parents, son Michael L. Krecioch, Sisters Patti Leyse White and Michele Unteidt, brother in-laws Steve White, Michael Oehlke and Tom McBath.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the family.
