Michael Kratzberg, 48, of Cedar Rapids, died Monday evening January 2, 2006 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Iowa City.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 pm on Friday at Eden United Church of Christ with Rev. Glenn Hunt, officiating. Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids is assisting with arrangements.
Michael was born on July 12, 1957 in Des Moines the son of Edward and Phyllis (Norris) Kratzberg. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He worked as a cook at Diner on First for the last six years.
Survivors include his partner Dick Dixon; his parents Edward Kratzberg and Phyllis VanZandt; sisters Kathy, Sandy, and Jennifer; and brothers Doug, Kenny, and Steve.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
