Mary Jean Plotz, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Heritage Specialty Care following a short illness. In honor of Mary's wishes there will be no services. Private family inurnment will be held at Czech National Cemetery. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is serving the family.

Mary was born May 8, 1932 in Norway, the daughter of Rudolph John and Elizabeth Vera (McGuire) Plotz. She graduated from Norway High School and then worked at Wilson and Company in the office for over 30 years.

Mary is survived by her brothers John (Trudy) Plotz of Cedar Rapids, Parlyn (Helen) Plotz of Marengo, and Eldred Plotz of Walford; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters in law Leo (Betty) Plotz, Gerald (Donna) Plotz, and Melvin Plotz and sister in law Leona Plotz.

Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy in Mary's name.
