Mary Caroline Mullin, 72 of Cedar Rapids , died Wednesday, February 3, 2011 at her home. Celebration of Life gathering will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, February 5 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids , located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Mary was born February 18, 1938 in Cedar Rapids , the daughter of Joseph and Lucy Chavez. She married Riley Mullin on June 27, 1957 in Cedar Rapids . Mary worked at St. Lukes Hospital for 43 years in the Dietician Department. She was a bartender at CRBC as well as being an avid bowler. Mary was an Avon representative for twenty five years. Among her talents and hobbies, were playing the guitar, shopping at various stores and farmers markets and spending time with her dogs, her family especially the grandkids and great-grandkids. Her grandson Matthew was the "Light of her life."

Mary is survived by her dog kids Lupe, Zoey, LuLu and Bella; her daughters LuAnn (Allen) Sillick and Macel (Keven) Ralston and her son Patrick (Melody) Mullin; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother Jesse (Diane) Chavez; her special niece Christal (Jeff) Henderson; and her second family at St. Lukes Hospital .

She was preceded in death by her husband, and her siblings.
