Mary Alice Jones, 82, of Cedar Rapids, passed away Monday, April 2, 2018, at Mercy Medical Center in Cedar Rapids. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2018, at St. Ludmila's Catholic Church.  Burial will be in Castle Grove Cemetery rural Monticello.  Visitation will be from 3 to 6 p.m., Sunday, April 8, 2018, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Mary was born October 1, 1935, in Monticello, the daughter of Leo and Viola Chapman.  Mary was united in marriage to Richard Jones in Monticello on May 21st, 1959. Mary was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother for her loving family. She enjoyed canning, taking walks, swinging in the park, and most of all spending time with her family.

Mary is survived by her daughter Terry Yancey of Cedar Rapids; three grandsons Cory (Cassie) Cannon, Raymond (Allie) Yancey and Garrett Yancey; one granddaughter Aislynn Yancey; six great-grandchildren; and her sister LouAnn Leytem of Monticello; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter Janette Hinton, and her siblings.
