Marvin L. Dusil, 77, a resident of Rose Haven Nursing Home, Marengo, formerly of Fairfax died Friday afternoon, October 28, 2005 at the care center following a lengthy illness.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday November 1, 2005 at Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids.  Interment with Military Honors will follow at Blain Cemetery, rural Swisher.  Military rites will be by Fairfax American Legion Pekomy Post #572  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 pm on Monday at the chapel.
Marvin was born on June 5, 1928 in rural Fairfax, the son of William G. and Marie (Vostrel) Dusil.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  Marvin worked as a farm hand for most of his life in the Fairfax area.  He was a member of Fairfax American Legion Pekomy Post #572.  Marvin enjoyed fishing, playing cards, mushroom hunting, and gardening.
Survivors include five sisters, Evaline Cole of Bonaparte, Iowa, Anita Fuller of Toddville, Nadine (Vernon) Novak of Cedar Rapids, Loraine Sakulin of Cedar Rapids, and Betty (Bob) Slaton of Cedar Rapids; two brothers Duane Dusil of Cedar Rapids, and Wallace Dusil of Watkins; and seventeen nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Leroy Dusil.
A memorial fund has been established for Rose Haven Nursing Home, contributions may be sent in care of Evaline Cole – 201 1 st Street Bonaparte, Iowa 52620-9772
