Marsha E. Baker, 70, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Celebration of life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, December 10, 2021, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.
Marsha was born April 16, 1951, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Raymond and Lorna (Bell) Segriff. She graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School, class of 1969. Marsha was united in marriage to Steven Baker on June 29, 1970, in Dallas, Texas. She worked as a legal secretary for over ten years, as well as working with her husband at their service station. Marsha was able to provide in-home daycare for her grandkids for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, typing recipes, going to antique stores, and most of all spending time with her family.
Marsha is survived by her husband Steven; her children Kim Varo (Ryan Smith) of Marion, Nicole (Nate) Johnson of Alburnett, and Steve (Morgan) Baker Jr. of Cedar Rapids; twelve grandchildren; two great-granddaughters; and her siblings Diana (Richard) Sills, Jim (Carla) Segriff and Larry Segriff.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister-in-law Marlys Segriff.
Memorials may be directed to the family.
