Marlyn Dean "Marley" Wade, 78 of Cedar Rapids died Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Mercy Medical Center.  Services will be 11:30 a.m. Saturday, December 15, 2007 at St. James United Methodist Church.  Burial will follow in Silver Creek Cemetery, near Ryan.  Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids and for an hour prior to services Saturday at the church.

Marlyn was born March 16, 1929 in rural Ryan, the son of Fred and Etta Robinson Wade.  He served in the United States Army during the Korean War.  Marley married Patricia Ann Hess of Greeley, on October 28, 1951 in Edgewood.  He worked for over 40 years at Swiss Valley Dairy.  Marley was a member of the Ryan American Legion Post 0692.  He enjoyed camping, visiting, and spending time with his family and friends.

Marley is survived by his wife Patricia; daughter LouAnn (Gary) Christensen of Cedar Rapids; sons Donald "Cody" (Tina) Wade; Dale Wade both of Cedar Rapids; David (Jean) Wade of Mt. Vernon; grandchildren: Aaron, Nick, Sean, Robyn, Jessi, Rachel, Annie, Levi and Luke; and greatgrandchildren: Mason, Austin, Logan, Zoey, Eden, Shaelynn, Kassadee, and Rilee.   He was preceded in death by his parents, and an infant son Daniel.
