Mark William Henderson, 58, of Swisher, passed away on Friday, July 22, 2022, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Mark was born June 25, 1964, in Cedar Rapids, the son of John and Pat (Dostal) Henderson.  He graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School. He worked for his dad at A-1 Auto Body before working for the City of Cedar Rapids Parks Department, where he advanced to lead heavy equipment operator for the City of Cedar Rapids.  Mark was united in marriage to Michele Gonsales on July 5, 2019.  He was avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing, mushrooming, as well as collecting and restoring classic cars, going to car shows, and most of all spending time with his family.

Mark is survived by his wife Michele; his siblings Jackie (Bernie) Walther both of Cedar Rapids and Renee Henderson of Cedar Rapids; his dogs Bonze and Patches; his son David (Liz) Bekeris of Cedar Rapids; his grandson Luke Bekeris; and his niece Sydney and nephews Ian and Grayson.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
