Marilyn Selzer, 88, of Cedar Rapids, passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at The Gardens of Cedar Rapids. Private family services will be held in Fairfax Cemetery.

Marilyn was born on January 10, 1937, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of James and Josephine (Galletto) Brown. Marilyn was united in marriage to Earl Wayne Selzer on September 5, 1954, at Trinity Methodist Church in Cedar Rapids.  She worked at Harrison Elementary School Library for many years. Marilyn  enjoyed tennis, books, entertaining and art projects of any kind. Beautiful inside and out she was devoted and caring to her family and friends.

Marilyn is survived by her two children Steve Selzer (Wanda Hurley) and Lynda (Al) Selinger; four grandchildren Alexis (Justin) Howard, Patrick (Kristen) Selinger, Allegra Selzer, and Edythe Selinger; four great-grandchildren Kahlan Howard, Bryn Howard, Elle Selinger and James Selinger; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Earl Selzer; her parents; and her siblings.

Memorials may be directed to St. Croix Hospice in her name
