Marie Rozinek Kroul, 88 of Solon, died peacefully in her home on Friday, September 19, 2014. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Brosh Chapel in Solon, with burial will follow in Oakland Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m. Wednesday at Brosh Chapel. Marie was born September 5, 1926 in Solon, the daughter of Alois and Frances Rozinek. She married Roger Kroul on September 8, 1948 in Solon. Marie and Roger farmed in Solon for many years and was administrative secretary of Solon Schools for 38 years. she was actively involved in many other groups for the town of Solon all of her life. She will be greatly missed by all. Marie is survived by her daughter, Cindy Menefee and granddaughter, Samantha Menefee. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband (Roger), son (Rodney), eight brothers (Joseph, Louis, Victor, George, Frank, Paul Charles and James), and three sisters (Millie, Rose, and Libbie). Memorials may be directed to the Iowa City Hospice.
