Marian was born September 11, 1925 in Mill Run, Pennsylvania, the daughter of Ischmel and Dora (Arsenberger) Bigham.  Marian was united in marriage to Donald Serovy on May 29, 1948 in Washington D.C.   She worked as an ICU nurse at Mercy Medical Center retiring on November 29, 1987.  Jackie enjoyed golfing, playing cards, crafting, volunteering, and spending time with her family.

Marian is survived by her children Don Serovy (Carol Weger) of Cedar Rapids, Dana (Pam) Serovy of Marion, and Craig (Patty) Serovy of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren Nick (Jen) Serovy, Melinda (Cody) Kreis and Mark Serovy; and her sister Ruth Brezo of Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Donald G. Serovy, as well as her siblings.

Memorials may be directed to either All Saints Catholic Church or to Hospice of Mercy in her name.
