Marian K. Lind, 92, of Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids formerly of Lisbon passed away February 25, 2006 at St. Luke's Hospital after a short illness.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, February 28, 2006 at Lisbon United Methodist Church with Reverend Tom Mattson, officiating.  Private family inurnment will be at a later date.  Brosh Chapel, Solon is in charge of arrangements.
Marian was born on February 4, 1914 to Warren and Katherine "Kate" Hobbs in Mount Pleasant.  She moved to Tipton and graduated from Tipton High School.  On Christmas Eve, December 24, 1934 she married Robert J. Lind in Tipton.  She moved to Lisbon with her husband in 1946.  She was a homemaker and a partner with her husband in a grocery store and worked as a clerk in the Lisbon Post Office when her husband was Postmaster until their retirement.  Upon their retirement they moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona.  She returned to Iowa in 1996 to live at Cottage Grove Place in Cedar Rapids.  She was a past member of the Eastern Star and a member of the United Methodist Church of Lisbon and more recently of Prescott Valley, Arizona.  She was always interested in her family and got much pleasure from her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She will be missed.
She is survived by a son Robert and wife Kay of Lisbon; a daughter Cynthia Gravatt and husband William of Trinity, Florida; six grandchildren Brad Lind and wife Sharee, Scott Lind and wife Rachel, Mark Lind and wife Dani, Chad Lind and wife Chris, John Gravatt and wife Jennifer, and Kate Gravatt Bowman and husband Nick; eleven great-grandchildren Kelsee, Skylar, and Hunter Lind, Alyssa and Zachary Lind, Cory Leichty, Tyler and Trevor Lind, Griffin Lind, Lindsay and Austin Gravatt; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband in 1983, her parents, a sister Helen Hutchinson, and two brothers Wayne and Truman Hobbs.
Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
