She was a longtime member of Hus Presbyterian Church and worked at Joey's Drive-In in Cedar Rapids making doughnuts and constantly letting in customers before opening time. She was as loving and as giving of a woman as one could find, especially when it came to her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and any animal she came across. All the dogs in the neighborhood knew they could find their way to her door for a treat and a good pet. She loved all the children that ever found themselves lucky enough to meet her and most of them will always remember to tighter than usual hugs and candy that she gave out at will.
