Margaret A. Anderson, 100, of North Liberty, died Sunday, January 3, 2016 at the Solon Care Center following a long illness. A Celebration of life will be 6 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Solon.  A time for food and fellowship will follow the services.

Margaret Alice was born in rural Johnson County on August 28, 1915, the daughter of John Henry and Mary "Cecil" Sellers Ferguson. She married Zell Howard Anderson on July 12, 1941 in Columbia, Missouri. She spent her life caring for her family on the farm near North Liberty. In her later years she enjoyed wintering in Florida and Texas with her husband. Spending time with her family and grandchildren was a great joy for Margaret.

Margaret is survived by her sons Paul H. (Peg) of North Liberty, Randall J. of Marion, and Roy Z. (Jeanne) Anderson of North Liberty; 7 grandchildren; and 10 great grandchildren.

Margaret is preceded in death by her husband Zell (1992), and brothers Jim, Harry "Wally", John Jr. "Pinky", and Roy "Merle" Ferguson.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to Iowa City Hospice.
