Marcella M. Lorence, 96, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, January 30, 2021, at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy.  As per Marcella's wishes, private family inurnment will be in Czech National Cemetery.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids are in charge of arrangements.

Marcella was born May 26, 1924, in rural Solon, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Kopetsky) Lorence. Marcella finished 8 ^th grade at Rosedale #2.  She loved her family, to dance, and listen to Czech music.  She was a hard worker and believed in the saying "You need to make hay, while the sun is shining."

Marcella is survived by her children Dale Beltz of Florida, LaVern Beltz, Marsha Jensen and Vickie (Kenneth) Wood all of Cedar Rapids; nine grandchildren; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister Eleanor Vavricek, infant sister Dorothy, granddaughter Kristie Wood; son-in-law Rick Jensen, and her canine companion Katie.
