Marceline Claire Page, 83, died Sunday, January 11, 2015 at Northbrook Manor Care Center. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 15, 2015 at Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church, with burial to follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Marceline is survived by her children Douglas (Cindy) Page of Marion, David (Jo Ellen) Page of Cedar Rapids and Michele (David) Raim of North Liberty; five grandchildren Christopher (Amy) Page, Coulter (Jessica) Page, Danaca Page, Lydia Raim and Hannah Raim. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dr. Donald J. Page, and twin grandchildren Nadine and Elaine Raim. Marceline was born January 7, 1932 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Hubert and Mildred (Kvetensky) Kaplan. She was a graduate of Roosevelt High School in 1950 and Iowa State Teachers College in 1952. Marceline was united in marriage to Donald Page on March 14, 1953 at Hus Memorial Presbyterian Church. She was employed as a kindergarten teacher in Maynard and Vinton. When her husband returned from the service, they lived in Ft. Madison, until moving back to Cedar Rapids in 1963. Her life was dedicated to being a wife, mother and homemaker. She was actively involved in Camp Fire Girls leadership. She was a lifelong member of Hus Memorial Church, where she served as a deacon and Sunday school teacher / superintendent. She led the Sunday school choir. She was a member of the Tabitha Society and along with her husband, the Hus Mariners. She hosted many women's bible studies in her home. Marceline enjoyed gardening, sewing and cooking. She loved her dogs, especially her cherished sheltie, Abby. A memorial fund has been established in her name.
