Lucille T. Just, 87 of Cedar Rapids, passed away at home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 12th, 2011. Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, December 16th at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. A private family burial will be held in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to services Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids. Lucille was born March 23, 1924 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Godfrey and Eleanor (Drahos) Medulan. She married Robert Just on January 23, 1945 in Cedar Rapids. She had worked at Bordens Ice Cream, Pratt Audio, Honey Creek Orchards as well as housecleaning for many years until retiring. Most recently, she was volunteering at Witwer Food Service within St. Mark's Methodist Church. She enjoyed going to church and being involved with her husband in home ministry and Bible studies. Lucy was proud of her Czech heritage, and enjoyed playing the accordion, as well as attending polka festivals all over the area. Lucy is survived by her grandchildren Tawnya (John) Monnier of Jacksonville, Florida and Kris Smith (Tiffany Klemetson) of St. Augustine, Florida; great-grandchildren Jakob and Lauryn Monnier; a sister Gladys Wintringer of Cedar Rapids, amongst other cousins, nieces and nephews. Lucy was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Bob, brothers Albert and Lumir Medulan and her daughter Joanne Just.
