Lucas Edward Dennis, 33, of Fort Lauderdale, formerly of Swisher, passed away on November 28, 2020.   As per the family's wishes, private family inurnment will be in Anderson Cemetery, near Swisher.  There will be a Celebration of Life gathering on Sunday, May 16, 2021 from 1-4pm at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

Lucas was born August 30, 1987, in Cedar Rapids, the son of Terry and Diann (Reiter) Dennis.  He graduated from Cedar Rapids Prairie High School, class of 2006.  Lucas was united in marriage to Brittney Anderson on January 11, 2014.

Lucas is survived by his parents Terry and Diann of Swisher; his brother Ryan (Caitlin) Dennis; nephew Parker Dennis; of Okauchee, Wisconsin; his maternal grandmother Jean Reiter of Cascade; as well as his numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Albert Dean and Catherine (Truesdell) Dennis and maternal grandfather Edward John Reiter.
