Loretta Cecelia Larsen, 85 of Cedar Rapids, died Wednesday, March 9, 2011 at the Dennis and Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Graveside Services will be held in Arlington National Cemetery in Washington D.C. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, March 13, at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Loretta was born April 17, 1925 on a farm, near Solon, the daughter of Ed and Cecilia (Rushek) Dvorsky. She married Robert Larsen on September 23, 1960 in Los Angeles, California. She worked for over 42 years as a Systems Analyst for Rocketdyne, a division of North American Aviation (later Rockwell Corporation), retiring on December 31, 1989. Loretta is survived by her husband, Bob Larsen; two grandsons Todd Larsen and Daniel Larsen; a great-granddaughter Jacqueline Larsen and one great-grandson Dylan Thomas Larsen; as well a niece and two nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Thomas Edward Larsen, two brothers Don and Harry Dvorsky, and one sister Nadine Thompson. Memorials may be directed to Hospice of Mercy.
