Lola Harriet Borseth, 84 of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, March 3, 2009 at Hallmark Care Center in Mt. Vernon.  Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2009 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, temporarily located at 3100 F Avenue NW.  Burial will follow in Shueyville Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Lola was born July 30, 1924 in Burr Oak, the daughter of Clifford and Ida (Ellingson Moore) Quandahl.  She married Mahlon Borseth on December 12, 1939 in Decorah.  Lola enjoyed playing bingo and cards, gardening, fishing, and spending time with her family, especially her grandkids.
Lola is survived by her daughter, Jane (Jim) Fencl of Solon; two sons, Roy Borseth of Cedar Rapids and Carson (Karen) Borseth of Illinois; 19 grandchildren; 41 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; sister, Joan (Charles) Steffes of Marion; and her sister-in-laws, Sylvia Quandahl of Cresco, Barbara (Gordon) Pfister of Arkansas, and Thelma (Walter) Sweet of Arkansas.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Mahlon, on March 17, 1999; two daughters, Linda Zahradnik and Penelope Hickey; a son, Richard Borseth; and a granddaughter, Molly Zahradnik; and her brother, Orland Quandahl.
