Lois Margaret Pavek, 73, of Cedar Rapids, died peacefully on Saturday, September 13, 2014 in her home surrounded by her loving family. Celebration of Life Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at Brosh Chapel. Lois was born March 31, 1941 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Louis and Lois (Poland) Woods. Lois was united in marriage to Charles Pavek on May 18, 1963 in Cedar Rapids. Lois loved her dogs Pal, Buddy and cat Loki. She enjoyed gardening, visiting with many friends and neighbors, as well as taking care and spending time with her family. Lois is survived by her husband of over 51 years Chuck; her son Chuck Allan of Cedar Rapids; siblings Judy (Bill) Phillips of Mesa, Arizona, Phyllis (Greg) Raymond of Mustang, Oklahoma and Zandra (Bill) White of Greenwood, Indiana; sister-in-law Jackie Woods of Newton; as well as many nieces and nephews Lois was preceded in death her parents, two brothers Terry Woods and Tim Woods. Memorials may be directed to Unity Point Hospice in her name.
