Leslie C. Oetken, 47 of Cedar Rapids , died Sunday, February 21, 2010.

Celebration of Life Services will be 1:30 p.m., Monday, March 1, 2010 at

Cedar Hills Community Church , 6455 E Avenue NW, with Dr. Leonard Ranson

presiding. Private family inurnment will be at a later date. Visitation

will be one hour prior to services Monday at the church.

Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of her arrangements.

Leslie was born April 7, 1962 in San Juan , Puerto Rico , the daughter of

Robert and Maria Bastine. She graduated from the University of Iowa with

a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, and a Master's Degree in Sociology. She

was a research assistant for the University of Iowa .

Leslie is survived by her fiancé Kurtis Diers, her parents, her brother

Robert (Carlie) Bastine and her children Graham and Alexis Oetken.

Her children were her greatest joy.

Pray that we will always remember her lovely smile

and her warm, caring heart.

Pray that our hearts will let her go--

To play again as a child amidst the Heavenly Angels.

She was loved by all who met her.
