LeRoy "Andy" George Anderlik, 87 of Solon, died .  Funeral Mass will be at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon.  Burial will be in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Iowa City.  Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m.  at Brosh Chapel in Solon., where there will be a 7 p.m. rosary.  Visitation will be an hour prior to services at the church.
Andy was born June 18, 1920 in Iowa City, the son of George and Agnes (Melichar) Anderlik.  He married Lena Krall on February 25, 1941 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Iowa City. Andy worked at Skelley Oil Company for 20 years, and at SE Junior High for 18 years prior to retirement.  Andy proudly served his country in WWII where he was awarded the Purple Heart.  He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Solon, and a lifetime member of the Solon American Legion.
Andy is survived by a son James Anderlik of Iowa City; daughters Judith Anderlik of Iowa City, Patricia (Dale) Pickering of Mesa, Arizona, and Susan (Dr. Larry) McCray of Cedar Rapids; six grandchildren and four greatgrandchildren as well as several stepgrandchildren and stepgreatgrandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife Lena Anderlik on May 21, 2007;
Memorials may be directed to St. Mary's Catholic Church, or the Solon Care Center.
