Leonard "Lonny" L. Willard, 84, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at St. Luke's Hospital.  Celebration of Life gathering will be from 4 to 7 p.m.  Thursday, December 30, 2021, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Private family inurnment will be in Rogers Grove Cemetery near Ely.

Lonny was born November 30, 1937, in Emmetsburg, the son of George H. and Goldie M. (Pratt) Willard. He was a tow truck owner-operator of Lonny's Wrecker Service for over forty-eight years, and later worked as bus driver for NTS.  Lonny was united in marriage to Sarah Bascom in Reno, Nevada in January of 1990.

Lonny is survived by his children Steven Sr. and Penny both of Marion, Timothy of Cedar Rapids and Rhonda of Mississippi; several grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son Leonard Jr., son Arthur, his wife Sarah, daughter-in-law Diana, and his siblings Howard, Russell and Vera Mae.
