Leonard C. Votroubek, 80, of Cedar Rapids , died Monday morning, July 11, 2005 at home following a lingering illness.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids with Rev. Dr. Glenn Hunt, officiating. Interment will follow at Anderson Cemetery , Swisher. Visitation will be held from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday at Brosh Chapel, Cedar Rapids .

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Shirley of Cedar Rapids; son Lee (Denise) of Cedar Rapids; daughter Abbie (Tim) Clark of Atkins, three grandsons, Lance, Kyle, and Nathan; one sister Erma (George) Andrews; one sister-in-law, Jeanne (Jack) Brubaker; mother-in-law Jeannette Haymond, nieces, nephews, friends, and neighbors.

He was preceded in death by his parents Charles and Anna (Vanous) Votroubek

Leonard was born May 9, 1925 in rural Iowa County . He attended and graduated from Walford School . Leonard owned and operated Sovern Door Company before retiring to his favorite hobby of restoration of old Ford cars. He belonged to the AACA aand MARC auto clubs.  He was a Mason of Mt. Hermon Lodge.  He was a World War II veteran, serving in Germany.
