Leonard G. Fisher, 84 of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday, November 22, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital after a sudden illness.  Services will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 26, 2008 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, temporarily located at 3100 F Avenue NW.  Burial will follow in Czech National Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 4 until 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Brosh Chapel.
Leonard was born December 19, 1923 in North Liberty, the son of Frank and Frances (Dritina) Fisher.  He married Marcella Hajek on June 11, 1946.  Leonard farmed until 1947, when he and Marcella moved to Cedar Rapids.  He retired from Link-Belt Speeder after 38 years.  Leonard enjoyed fishing, working around the yard, smoking carp, and in his later years going to the casino.  Most of all, Leonard enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Leonard is survived by his wife, Marcella; son, David A. (Ruth) Fisher of Fairfax;  daughter, Diane K. Busch of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren, Steve (Dawn) Fisher, Sherri (Josh) Wiebel, Jason (Kelli) Boyle, Josh Boyle, Tara (Michael) Schulte; great-grandchildren, Kayla and Lauren, Taylor and Hunter, Logan and Devin, and Madison; sisters, Frances Baker and Adeline Kutcher; and sister-in-law, Rosie Fisher.  He was preceded in death by his parents, 6 sisters, 3 brothers, and a son-in-law, Tom Busch.
