Leona F. Simon, 100, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, February 19, 2008 at Garnett Place.  A Celebration of Life will be held on Leona's birthday, 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, February 27, 2008 at Garnett Place: 202 35 ^th St. Dr. SE, Cedar Rapids.  Inurnment will be in Czech National Cemetery.  Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.

Leona was born February 27, 1907, the daughter of Theodore and Annie (Hladley) Simon.  She graduated from the old Washington High School in Cedar Rapids and attended Business College.  Leona worked at Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, and retired from Network Data Corporation.  Leona was a longtime member of Calvin-Sinclair Presbyterian Church.

Leona is survived by her sister, Dorothy E. Reeves, of Chicago and her good friends, Dixie Hershaw and Leola Clarke, both of Cedar Rapids, as well as her extended family at Garnett Place and her friends at Calvin-Sinclair Presbyterian Church.
