Leona Rose Stangler McArtor, 91 of 61 18 th Avenue SW, died Monday, January 29, 2007 at St. Luke's Living Center West.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 2 at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids, with burial following at Cedar Memorial Cemetery.  Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday and for an hour prior to services Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids.
Leona was born June 13, 1915 in Amana, the daughter of Edward and Rosalie Erusha Stangler.  She married Gerald J. McArtor on December 9, 1931 in Aledo, Illinois.  Leona worked at Killians, Turners, and Mercy Hospital.  Leona was a member of The Swisher American Legion Auxiliary 671, The Edgewood Baptist Church, The Kidney Foundation of Iowa, The Maccabees, and The Top Notch Club.
Leona is survived by her son Richard J McArtor and his wife Betty; her daughter-in-law Joyce McArtor all of Cedar Rapids; 6 grandchildren: Kelli Trevino, Teresa McArtor, Steven McArtor, Douglas McArtor, Kevin McArtor, and Marc Koplin; 12 great grandchildren; 2 great great grandchildren; and a long time friend Polly Beers. She was preceded in death by her parents Edward and Rosalie Erusha Stangler; her husband Gerald McArtor; a son Edward Gerald McArtor; a brother Edward Stangler; and a sister Betty Stearns.
