Lenora Lillian Buresh, 88 of Ely died Tuesday, March 4, 2008 at Mercy Medical Center from a brief illness.  Funeral mass will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 8, 2008 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.  Burial will follow in Buresh Cemetery, near Ely.  Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday at Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids where there will be a 6 p.m. vigil.

Lenora was born January 18, 1920 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Louis and Libbie (Buresh) Barta.  She married Wesley Buresh on April 12, 1939 at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church.   Lenora enjoyed gardening and canning.  She was a devoted mother, farm and housewife.

Lenora is survived by her daughter Sharon (Don) Pfab of Coggon; sons Glenn (Frances) Buresh, Ben (Ranae) Buresh and Wes (Margie) Buresh all of Ely; eight grandchildren and eight greatgrandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Wesley on September 25, 2007; granddaughter Debbie Buresh; sisters Agnes Kiberger and Clara Cerveny; and a brother Louis Barta Jr.
