Lee Atherton-Monroe, 86 went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 24, 2013. Funeral Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, October 3 at St. Ludmila's Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements. Lee was born May 7, 1927 in Benton County, Iowa to Herman and Eleanor (Schulte) Kahle. She is survived by her son Charles (Kay) Atherton of Monument, Colorado; her grandchildren Chad Atherton and Kahle Atherton, a sister-in-law Irene Kahle, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Lee was preceded in death by her son, Stephen Atherton, her parents, brothers Sylvester, Raphael and Francis Kahle, and her sister Thelma Serbousek. Memorials may be directed to the Stephen J.
