Lawrence Terry Scott, 71 of Cedar Rapids, formerly of Muscatine, died Saturday, November 17, 2012 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Celebration of Life will be from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m., Saturday, December 1, 2012 at the O-Zone in Urbana. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is handling arrangements. Lawrence was born May 26, 1941, the son of Lawrence Archibald and Bessie Jane (Rose) Scott. He married Maureen Mercer. Terry worked at Wilson Foods. He was raised in Marion and attended school there. He loved horses, rodeos, and fishing. Terry raised his family in Urbana and moved to Muscatine in 2008. Lawrence is survived by his sons, Derek James Scott and Lawrence "Scooter" Scott; a brother, Everett Harper; and a sister, Kay Duball. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maureen, a son, and two sisters. Memorials may be directed to the family.
