Laurie A. (Zitek) Lynskey, 50, of Cedar Rapids, died Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Ed and Joan Hemphill Hospice Unit at St. Lukes.  A Celebration of Life Gathering will be from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 26, 2016 at the Swisher American Legion.

Laurie Ann was born May 29, 1966 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Joseph and Doris Edna (McPherson) Zitek. She graduated from Jefferson High School in 1984.  She enjoyed her cats, being outdoors and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her daughter Keri Ann Long (Denny Zimmerman) of Fairfax; grandson Brock; three sisters Kathy (Frank) Sedlacek of Swisher, JoAnn (Denny) Elliott of Cedar Rapids and Debbie (Paul) Mazzocco of Swisher; a brother Joe (Karol) Zitek of Cedar Rapids; as well as her nieces and nephews.

Laurie is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, and her aunts and uncles.
