Kathy A. Lalley, 72, of Cedar Rapids, passed away peacefully in her home on Saturday, August 26, 2023. A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Wednesday, August 30, 2023 from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.
Kathy Ann was born August 7, 1951 in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of John Ernest and Betty Schnee. Kathy married Joe Lalley on May 6, 1972, at St. Wenceslaus Catholic Church in Cedar Rapids. Throughout her life she never had a driver's license but drove her moped all over town and was an excellent boat captain.  Christmas was her holiday and she was known for spoiling her children and grandchildren with gifts. She enjoyed crafting and sewing, especially holiday themed projects. Kathy's grandchildren were her life and valued every second with them. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Kathy is survived by husband Joe; her children Angie (Aaron) Barnard, Matt (Danielle) Lalley, and Brian (Katie) Lalley; grandchildren Dillon, Allison, Jameson and Maverick; and special dog Dodger.
