Joseph F. "Joey" Kaiser, Jr., 11 month old son of Joseph F. and Francesca Kaiser, Sr. passed away peacefully in his parents' arms on Saturday morning, April 15, 2006, in University Hospitals, Iowa City, surrounded by the medical staff who have cared for him since birth. Funeral mass 10:30 am Wednesday, April 19, 2006, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Solon with Fr. David Wilkening presiding. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Church Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm Tuesday, April 18, 2006 at Brosh Chapel in Solon where there will be a 7:00 p.m. vigil service, with Deacon Attanasio Romeo officiating. Visitation will also be one hour prior to services Wednesday at the church.
Survivors include his parents, big sister Rachel at home; grandparents, Attanasio and Sharon Romeo of Des Moines and Paul and Therese Kaiser of West Union; great-grandmother, Doris Ferren of Centerville and several special aunts, uncles and cousins.
Joey's time here was very short, yet he left a lasting impression on others. His strength and spirit inspired all who encountered him. He was everybody's baby and will be greatly missed.
