Jon D. Ernberger, 78, of Cedar Rapids passed away Sunday, January 17, 2021 at Mercy Medical Center.   As per Jon's wishes private family services and inurnment will be held at at a later date.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.

Jon Douglas was born in Cedar Rapids on January 1, 1943, the son of John and Helen Ernberger.  He graduated from Jefferson High School and then served his country in the Air Force, Airman 1 ^st Class. Following his return, he worked as a sheet metal worker for Local 263 for many years and retired from Climate Engineers. Jon was united in marriage to Sharon in 1965, later divorced, but remained together until the end.

Jon is survived by his former wife Sharon; two sons, Dustin (Monica) and D.J. (Kristi); grandchildren Michael Ernberger and triplets Austen, Caitlen, and Brooklen Ernberger; and his brother Jary (Patty) Ernberger.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
