John Bilsland, 78, of Cedar Rapids, died February 25, 2023.  Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, March 11, 2023, in Czech National Cemetery, with military rites.  Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids is in charge of arrangements.

John was born March 9, 1944, in Cedar Rapids, the son of William and Margaret (Vaughn) Bilsland.  He graduated from Cedar Rapids Washington High School   John served in the United States Army and United States Navy.  He was united in marriage to Laural Clyde in December 2004.

John is survived by his children Jodie Dutton, John (Geri) Mally, DeAnna Bilsland; thirteen grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; two brothers Terry (Doris) and Dave (Rita); two sisters Karen Hayes and Linda Gobel; as well as his nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Laural, daughter Jackie Rupe, three brothers Bill, Clarence and Richard.
