John Marion Barber IV, 50 of Marion, died Sunday, February 26th in his home. As per John's wishes private family services will be held at a later date. Brosh Chapel in Cedar Rapids is assisting the family. John was born March 28, 1961 in Los Angeles, California the son of John Marion and Eleanor (Smith) Barber III. John enjoyed cooking, hunting, riding his Harley as well as spending with his family. John is survived by his children Ariel Barber of Cedar Rapids, Dave Smith Jr. of Cedar Rapids; grandchildren DiMajio Johnson, Charles Wise Jr., Gacari Johnson, Taylar Smith, and Madison Smith; and his two sisters Linda Blue, Cathy Schuerman; his father John Marion III of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; as well his nieces and nephews. John is preceded in death by his mother Eleanor. Memorials may be directed to the family.
