JoAnn Hanson, 79, of Cedar Rapids, died Tuesday, August 30, 2022, at Heritage Nursing and Rehab.  Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1p.m. Saturday, October 1, 2022, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW.

JoAnn was born May 21, 1943, in Cedar Rapids, the daughter of Joseph and Helen (Denter) Kloubec.    She graduated from Cedar Rapids Jefferson High School.  JoAnn was united in marriage to Oscar Hanson on August 15, 1973, in Center Point.  She enjoyed crocheting, watching stock car races and the Cubs, listening to the Sunday Polka Hour, fishing, and most of all the spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Joann is survived by her daughter Twila Arntz of Cedar Rapids; four grandchildren Michael Hewett, Angel Rhea (Matt Chesmore), Robbin and Josephine; one great-grandson Michael Jr.; her brother Jim (Nancy) Kloubec; stepchildren Edward Hanson and Sally Bruce; step-grandchildren Jason and Stacey Bruce, Jarod and Miranda Hanson; as well as her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Oscar, her brother Gene Kloubec and her niece Tamara Kloubec.
