Jerry Karl Lundgren, 52, of Cedar Rapids, died Saturday April 20, 2013 at the Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy. Celebration of Life will be held from 5-8 p.m. on Tuesday April 23, 2013 at The Avacentre at Brosh Chapel. Jerry was born January 23, 1961 in Cedar Rapids, the son of Ivan Lester and Beulah Annabelle (Wilson) Lundgren. Jerry was a finish trim carpenter for many years, working in the Iowa City and Cedar Rapids area. He enjoys hunting, mushrooming, fishing, boating and riding his motorcycle. Jerry is survived by a sister Ruth Ann Swick and Tom Meyer of Hull, Illinois; nephews and nieces; very special friends; Del and Claire Leverington, Chase Palmer and his beloved dog Tanner, as well as many friends. Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Jim Lundgren, and a niece Jamie Lynn Sells. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Dennis & Donna Oldorf Hospice House of Mercy in Jerry's name.
