Jerry was born on January 29, 1937 to Bohumil (Godfrey) and Mamie Jandik of Cedar Rapids.  He was the last of four siblings and attended St. Ludmila School before graduating from Wilson High School in 1955.  On November 22, 1958 he married Marilyn J.
