Jerry was passionate about life and about his family.  He had a deep and enduring love for his soulmate, Mary and also for his loving children.  He loved to work outdoors and to fish and camp with his family.  He had a passion for hard work and quality workmanship.  He was driven to help others, whether he was serving as a volunteer firefighter in Coralville or taking garden vegetables to food pantries in the local area.  Jerry was always looking for a way to serve his friends and neighbors.  He had many dear friends.
Memorials may be directed to the Coralville Volunteer Fire Department and/or to the family which will make a donation later on his behalf.
