Jenny Lee Berger, 84, of Fairfax, passed away on Friday, October 16, 2026, in her home. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m., Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Brosh Chapel and The Avacentre in Cedar Rapids, located at 2121 Bowling Street SW. Celebration of Life will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 20, 2026, at Brosh Chapel. A private family inurnment will be in Linwood Cemetery at a later date.

Jenny was born on September 27, 1942, in Chicago Illinois, the daughter of Anthony and Leah (Richmond) Kopaitich. Jenny married Donald Berger on July 4, 1981, in Cedar Rapids. She worked at Quaker Oats in the production line. Jenny loved to crochet, playing cards, bingo, talking on the phone, watching the Hawkeyes, Cubs, and Fever, and most of all spending time with her family. She knitted many blankets and sweaters for her grand and great-grandchildren. Jenny was a very caring person to others, donating to local animal shelters and other caring causes in her life.

Jenny is survived by her children, Marty Lawrence (Marge) and Lisa (Mandy)Cole-Lawrence, Lawana (Jeff) Anderson; her eight grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law Dolly Wessel; as well as nieces and nephews.

Jenny was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Donald Berger; sons Troy Lawrence and Thomas Lawrence, granddaughter Leanne Lawrence, her siblings Dorothy (Harley) Luck, Tony (Delores) Kopaitich and Douglas Wessel and their dogs Shasta and Tiffy.
